Data Needed to Provide a Quote

Schematics: Schematics are required to understand the electrical connectivity of the board. Schematics are also used to determine areas of concern with respect to the board's testability. A "Readable" printed copy is the preferred format, but we can process electronically supplied files like Postscript, PDF, EDIF, DXF, HPGL, DWG, and OrCAD's, DSN.

Assembly Drawings: These drawings are used to identify component placement. In addition, we can determine devices that may cause fixturing problems i.e.: bottom side connectors, connectors extending beyond the edge of the board, switches needing tests mounted on the bottom of the board. Printed copy works best.

Bill of Materials (BOM): This should include reference designators, part numbers, values, & tolerances. An electronic ASCII or Excel copy works best for this data.

CAD Data: The requested ASCII formatted file contains the intelligent data of the board such as: 1) Location Reference, 2) X & Y Coordinates, 3) Theta (Part Rotation), 4) Part Number (Reference to BOM), 5) Package Style, 6) PCB Mount Side (Top/Bottom) and 7) Component Technology (SMT vs. PTH). Listed below are the most common CAD files needed for evaluation for a quote. If CAD systems are not on the list below, contact us for more information.

Statement of Work (SOW): Customer specific test and fixture requirements would be detailed in this document. Especially valuable if additional fixture hardware is needed.

Target Test System Configuration: Configuration of testing system used at manufacturing site. Items needed are Operating Software Revision, U.U.T Power Supplies, Number of Pins, Optional Hardware Installed, Software Options (i.e.: ™ Opens Xpress, FrameScan & FrameScan FX or ™ TestJet, VTEP & iVTEP) and Listing of Tools Supported.

™ Opens Xpress, FrameScan & FrameScan FX are registered trade mark of Teradyne (GenRad) Inc.

™ TestJet, VTEP & iVTEP are registered trade mark of Agilent Corporation.
